Systa Björnsdóttir is a detail-oriented Production Designer based in Milan, Italy, born and raised in northern Iceland. She holds a degree in Art Education from the University of Education in Iceland and a degree in Scenography from the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan.

Her professional experience spans various fields of scenography, including photo shoots, exhibitions, interior design, short films, feature films, advertising, and theatre.

She has participated in three exhibitions at DesignMarch in Iceland, the most recent of which took place at the Icelandic Art Museum in 2022. In the same year, she received recognition from the Icelandic Centre for Research in the form of an artist’s salary to develop a multidisciplinary art exhibition. In 2023, she was nominated for Best Production Design for a feature film at the Edda Awards in Iceland.
